Google Workspace Setup Tutorial (using Squarespace)

This Google Workspace setup tutorial is for all the Squarespace users looking to create a branded email directly through their website.

Part 1

  • Is your domain name already connected to Squarespace?

  • How to get to Settings in Squarespace to create a Google Workspace account (aka GSuite account)

  • Confirmation email once you set it up in Squarespace

Part 2

If your purchased your domain name SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN DIRECTLY THROUGH SQUARESPACE (ex: GoDaddy, NameCheap, Network Solutions, etc), you need to keep watching!

  • MX Records

  • Adding Google MX Records to your DNS Settings (5 records listed below)

  • Squarespace tutorial links (also listed below)

Google MX Records

@ or leave blank | MX | 1 | ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
@ or leave blank | MX | 5 | ALT1.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
@ or leave blank | MX | 5 | ALT2.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
@ or leave blank | MX | 10 | ALT3.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM
@ or leave blank | MX | 10 | ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM

I mentioned in the video that Squarespace has documentation for different domain name providers, but I guess that's just for connecting your domain name to Squarespace. They do have this article 'Google Workspace and Squarespace basics' where they talk about eligibility, pricing, integrating an existing email account, and more... but they link directly to Google for the MX Records details.
