Whether you're new to Squarespace, considering it for your website, or need help navigating the platform, this guide has you covered! Below, I’ll answer the 10 most frequently asked questions about Squarespace to help you feel confident and ready to create a site that stands out. Let’s dive in!

    1. How Can I Change My Squarespace Template?

Unfortunately, Squarespace doesn’t allow you to switch templates once your site is live. However, you can customize your current template extensively through the Style Editor and custom CSS. If you want a completely new design, you'll need to start with a new site and select a different template during setup.

    2. What Version of Squarespace Am I Using?

Squarespace currently offers two versions: 7.0 and 7.1. To check which version your site uses, log into your account, go to your site settings, and look for version details at the bottom of the settings menu.

    3. Where Is Squarespace Custom CSS?

Custom CSS can be found under Design > Custom CSS in your Squarespace dashboard. This section allows you to add custom code to further personalize your site beyond the built-in design tools.

    4. Will Squarespace Build My Website?

Squarespace offers a DIY website builder, meaning you’ll create and design the site yourself. However, if you’d rather leave it to the pros, many designers specialize in Squarespace and can build a custom site for you. (Psst… that’s exactly what I do—check out my services if you’re interested!)

    5. Do You Have a Squarespace Coupon Code?

Yes! You can get a 6-month free trial and 20% off your first year using my exclusive coupon code. Click here to grab the deal and start building your site today.

    6. Can I Use Squarespace Without Hosting?

No, Squarespace is an all-in-one platform, which means hosting is included in all their plans. You cannot use Squarespace as a standalone design tool without hosting your site on their servers.

    7. Can Squarespace Host My Domain?

Yes, Squarespace can host your domain! You can purchase a domain directly through Squarespace or transfer an existing one to their platform. This keeps everything in one place, making site management easier.

    8. How Do I Publish My Squarespace Website?

Once your site is ready to go live, click the Publish button in the top right corner of your Squarespace dashboard. If you haven’t already selected a plan, you’ll need to choose one to publish your site.

    9. How Do I Login to Squarespace?

To log into Squarespace, visit squarespace.com and click the Log In button in the top right corner. Enter your email and password, and you’re in!

    10. Are Squarespace and Square the Same?

No, Squarespace and Square are two different companies. Squarespace is a website builder, while Square focuses on payment processing and point-of-sale solutions. However, Squarespace does integrate with Square for eCommerce functionality.
